New builds are still part of what we do at Foremost Constructions, from new homes on an existing block through to custom architectural homes and side by side developments. Three generations of Registered Master Builders means we’ve seen most site conditions before, from tight inner-city blocks to steep, awkward land.

One-off custom designs, built with no compromise on material quality or construction precision.

New homes on an existing block

Challenging sites are where experience matters most. We manage complex civil and structural works without the uncertainty. Our new home in Eaglemont was built on sloping land.

Side by side builds

Side-by-side townhouses and multi-unit projects built to a high standard, with strong relationships with planners and engineers. We’ve delivered side by side new builds in Hampton and Aberfeldie.

How it runs

First meeting
Every project starts with a preliminary meeting to talk through your site and what you’re after. From the early planning stage, we work alongside your architect, draftsperson or engineer.
Documentation and permits
Quotation and estimation, then a pre-contract meeting to go through the details. Anything over $10,000 in value is required by law to have a proper Domestic Building Contract. Permit applications and council submissions are handled as part of the job.
Build and handover
Construction, managed personally, with progress inspections along the way, then a final inspection and handover.

Are you still taking on new builds?

Yes. These days Robert’s focus leans more towards renovations, extensions and body corporate work, but new builds, including new homes on existing blocks and custom architectural homes, are still very much on the table. Get in touch to talk through your site.

We work across Melbourne’s inner city, Richmond, Fitzroy, Brunswick and Carlton, and bayside, Port Melbourne, South Melbourne and Albert Park, plus surrounding suburbs.

Where do we start if we don’t have plans yet?

Start with an architectural draftsman to work out what’s achievable on your site. We can connect you with a draftsman or designer, who’ll usually offer a free initial consultation.
